Walk the prairie trails, watch the birds, and relax under the starry sky at the Bee and the Clover, a barndorminum with three comfortable rooms accommodating 6-14 people, situated on 88 acres of tallgrass prairie 30 miles southeast of San Antonio.

The name of The Bee and the Clover is based on a poem by Emily Dickinson, “To make a prairie.”

To make a prairie it takes a clover and one bee,

One clover, and a bee.

And revery.

The revery alone will do,

If bees are few.

The yellow room downstairs is “The Bee.” The purple room downstairs is “The Clover.” The upstairs room is “The Revery.” Revery is defined as daydreaming or a condition of being lost in your thoughts. We hope a lot of that goes on at The Bee and The Clover.
